Camera and Face Data
GlossyCam uses your device's camera to show lipstick shades on your lips in real time. To do this, the app uses
Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect the position and outline
of your lips in each camera frame ("face data"). The app uses only the lip outline points and the colours of your
lips; it does not use face recognition, does not identify you, and
does not create a faceprint or any other biometric identifier.
Face data is processed entirely on your device, in memory, only while the camera is in use, and is discarded
immediately after each frame is processed. Face data is never stored on
your device or on any server, is never uploaded or transmitted off your device, and is never shared with us or with
any third party, including our analytics, crash reporting and
subscription providers (Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and RevenueCat). Because face data is
never stored, there is no face data to retain or delete.
Photos are created only when you tap the capture button. A photo is saved to your Photos library only if you choose
Save, and shared only if you choose Share; GlossyCam does not keep
a copy. You can delete saved photos at any time in the Photos app.
Information Collection and Use
GlossyCam does not require an account. We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address, phone number or any other information that directly identifies you through the app.
Camera and face data. The camera is used only to show lipstick shades on your lips in real time and to scan the colour of a lipstick. How this works is explained in "Camera and Face Data" below. In short, face data is processed only on your device, is never stored and is never shared.
Photos. GlossyCam asks for permission to add photos to your Photos library. A photo is saved only when you tap Save, and shared only when you choose Share. GlossyCam cannot read your existing photos and does not keep a copy of the photos you take.
Your shades and settings. The lipstick shades you scan (a name and a colour value), and your app settings, are stored on your device. If you have GlossyCam Pro and iCloud Sync is on, your shades are also stored in your own iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we cannot access it. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in the app's More screen. Deleting the app removes the shades stored on your device.
Usage and diagnostics. To understand how the app is used, fix problems and keep it up to date, the app uses these third-party services. They may automatically collect device and usage information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, an app instance identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, app events and crash reports:
Purchases. GlossyCam Pro subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to confirm your purchase and unlock Pro features. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase history, but not your payment details. Apple handles payment information, which we never receive.
Contacting us. If you email us at info@appsketch.in, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message, and use them only to reply to you.
We do not sell your information, do not use it for advertising, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
